Commissioned by the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), during 1,5 year Blossity was responsible for the project management of SUSREG.
In April 2013, the EU started the project SUSREG “Stimulating Sustainable Regional Development by means of a Structured Process Approach”. In the project, 17 partners from 9 regions in 6 EU-countries were involved. From the Netherlands, the city region Arnhem Nijmegen, Omgevingsdienst Midden-Holland and Hogeschool Utrecht are connected.
With a total project budget of€ 1,5 mln., the European Commission gives an impuls to sustainable regional and urban planning. The project delvers a masterclass track for planners about sustainability and energy in the development of an urban plan.
The role of Blossity was to coördinate the trainings program, to organise international workshops and to distribute the developed knowledge via the channels of ISOCARP.
